The Automotive Industry Team (AIT) of Evonik was founded in 2004 as a cut surface to the Original Equipment Manufacturers. The regional AIT members coevally are the local contacts for OEMs. The AIT core team coordinates all internal and external activities. We are determined to push on new material concepts in the automotive industries and boost the necessary innovation speed.

Developing trends for cars of tomorrow

Four of the six business units (BU) of the business  segment "Chemicals" afford a big amount of different products and solutions for the automotive sector and work on middle- to longterm solutions. The business units are always in contact with the specialists of the OEMs. Further cross-BU think tanks are our strategic development units, which are working inter-divisional in centralized science-to-business centres and project houses to develop the vehicle of the future.
